Thirst Among Equals - a wine club of sorts
Sit down with us in our studio kitchen in South London for a tasting of 5 wines, lead by Mike.
The atmosphere will be very relaxed, and assumes no prior wine knowledge. We will be presenting exciting wines to be enjoyed as well as discussed, though we are very happy to get as geeky as you would like.
We will be serving a few snacks that will be paired with the wines, but we’d love it if you join us for a plate of food beforehand for an additional £10, payable on the night.
Less-known Loire
This month you'll be able to try wine in a range of styles and from different areas of the Loire valley, with a particular focus on red wines.
The reds from the Loire are less common in the UK than their famed white counterparts such as Sancerre and Muscadet, but are well worth seeking out. They can be a breath of fresh air compared to richer, stuffier styles, and are excellent value. The grape Cabernet Franc (usually hidden in blends in Bordeaux) is a star here, along with rarer varieties such as Pineau d'Aunis and Chenin Noir.
We will also be pouring a sweet Chenin Blanc from Coteaux du Layon to finish.
Event Info
Tickets are £20 to include a sample of all wines and accompanying snacks. Wines will also be available for off-sales.
Over 18s only, please bring ID as we may ask for proof of age if you appear to be under 25.
We can accommodate most dietary requirements and allergies if we know about them in advance. You will be able to add these as you go through the booking process.
